The Ellen Flowers Award for Aspiring Psychiatric Nurses

Ellen M. Flowers was a well-known, highly respected, highly organized, and well-loved psychiatric nurse, nurse leader and nurse educator. For 14 years, Salem State University was blessed to have Ellen Flowers as an adjunct professor and clinical instructor. Ellen was
the creator of the mental health nursing simulations for every SSU nursing student at Tewksbury Hospital, where she was the director of nursing and served in many additional roles and capacities
